Electric vehicle (EV) charging is an important aspect of EV ownership. Home-based overnight EV charging is the cheapest, most convenient charging method. Government grants are now available to support the installation of Home EV Chargers as the UK targets to lower their greenhouse gas emissions.
To encourage the take-up of electric vehicles, the government is running an electric vehicle home-charging scheme.
The grant is a contribution of up to 75% of the installation costs, to a maximum of £500 for a single point domestic user, and up to £300/point for commercial users – up to a max of 20 points.
You must be the registered keeper or leaseholder of an electric vehicle, and your parking must be off street.
Your vehicle must be eligible under the scheme (the majority of modern vehicles are).
